Mem Reduct is one of my favorite memory management applications as it’s very simple, straightforward, lightweight, reliable, and best of all, free. When it comes to memory monitoring and cleaning applications, simpler is better, and that’s why Mem Reduct gets to be appreciated too.
Mem Reduct monitors and displays the real-time values not only for the physical memory (total available, used, and free), but also for the page file and for the system working set. One single click will start the memory freeing process. This handy tool can also be configured to automatically clear the memory when it reaches a certain, predefined threshold (in percentage). For most of the time, this small tool can reside unobtrusively in the system tray area, allowing you to quickly operate only whenever it’s necessarily. A portable version that doesn’t require an installation is also available.
Another cool feature of this tool is the fact that it’s completely free. It’s in fact an open source tool whose code you can freely download and modify.
In conclusion, Mem Reduct is a nice tool that offers a convenient way to clean up memory whenever it’s needed.
